SMT386

The SMT386 is a single width expansion module onto a SLB base module such as SMT338-VP (Virtex-II/Pro 30), SMT398-VP (Virtex-II/pro 70), SMT368 (Virtex-4 SX35) or SMT348 (Virtex-4 SX55 or LX160).

The SMT386 is a single width daughter module. It is capable of sampling one analogue input at 2Gsps with a resolution of 10 bits. The ATMEL single channel ADC (AT84AS008) allows accurate digitization of high frequency signals thanks to the 3.3GHz analogue input bandwidth.

The Xilinx FPGA (Virtex-II/pro or Virtex-4) on the base module is responsible for handling data going/coming to/from one of the following destination/source: ComPort (TIM-40 standard), Sundance High-speed Bus (SHB), memory on some base modules (DDR, QDR or ZBT) and Rocket-IO Serial Links (RSL). Those interfaces are compatible with a wide range of the Sundance's modules.
