An Application Block is a complete DSP or DSP+FPGA task, which can be integrated into an application with ease. Unlike a library function or a simple FPGA core an Application Block does not need to be linked-in or synthecized when being added to acustom application. An Application Block is a complete Diamond task with specified input and output channels for interfacing and communication to other tasks. An Application Block is a black-box with pre-defined IO channels. When configuring a 3L Diamond application one can simply add pre-built tasks from Sundance DSP’s AB1xx range to speed up development and reduce application complexity in the same way that sophisticated library functions like FFT is used. All AB1xx blocks are fully tested and documented so you can use them in your application with confidence. All Application Blocks, supplied by Sundance DSP, come with a C test bench as well as a Simulink test harness. A PARS model can also be supplied upon request.
