The package is a professional system based on Sundance DSP DSP498 with a Xilinx VP100 FPGA. Sundance DSP DSP498 is used as a stand-alone module and is ideal for embedded applications.

DSP498 has more than 300 general purpose and customer programmable Input/Output pins including 14 RSL ( Rocket Serial Link ) lines. 4 high speed ( 400 Mbytes/s bandwidth each ) Sundance High speed Bus ( SHB ) interfaces to variety of other Sundance DSP modules among them DSP, Communications and storage modules. Sundance DSP also offers FPDP interface through a programmable I/O daughter card.

With XC2VP100-FF1704 FPGA the DSP498 gives user a flexibility and power to implement any compute intensive tasks like FFT/IFFT etc. Sundance DSP also provides different FPGA cores. More than 90% of the on board FPGA resources are left for use by customer applications. All that is needed to program this hardware is a suitable FPGA JTAG cable and a host PC. You can also purchase a copy of PARS software at a reduced price of $3500 (FPGA version only at 50% discount while hardware stocks lasts) to be able to generate FPGA core for your FPGA using Simulink models and HDLCoder from Mathworks or System Generator from Xilinx.
