FPGA Firmware Design Engineer
Sundance DSP has an immediate vacancy for a qualified firmware design engineer conversant in VHDL, Verilog, simulation packages and analysis tools. This is a permanent position.

Responsibilities include specification, implementation and verification of FPGA cores, integration of cores into embedded system firmware, diagnostic and debug of hardware which includes FPGA, DSP and General Purpose processors.

Working knowledge of Matlab/Simulink, HDLCoder and RTW is a clear advantage to the successful candidate. Experience with designing modular, high speed and highly efficient FPGA cores and DSP applications is absolutely necessary.

Requirements

• FPGA firmware design experience
• FPGA simulation experience (ISE, ModelSim, ActiveHDL, etc.)
• FPGA diagnostic experience (Chipscope, logic analyzers, etc.)
• FPGA embedded processor integration experience (Xilinx/PowerPC, Xilinx/Microblaze)

Advantages to successful candidate

• MathWorks toolkits (Simulink, HDLCoder, RTW-EC)
• Texas Instruments DSPs
• Command line build automation
• Revision control tool experience (CVS, SVN, etc.)
• Experience with embedded OS (RTEMS, uCLinux, DSP/BIOS, etc.)
