PXIe840z, a Zynq Ultrascale+ PXIe system. It is intended as a guide to the schematic designer, the layout engineer, the firmware developer, and the manufacturing test developer. Boards inherit the PXI800z design with some changes, these changes will be noted in the specifications.

This PXIe board has a Zynq Ultrascale+ MPSoC in the FFVC1156 package. All the devices in this package can be populated on this board. The power is drawn from the PXIe chassis. The maximum power consumption of an XZU7EV MPSoC is 90W, and for XZU11EG it is 95W.

The PXIe840z is a single 3U Peripheral board for PXIe chassis based on the Xilinx Zynq Ultrascale+ MPSoC (Multi Processor System on Chip). Pxie840z consists of two parts:

The main board, PXIe840, is with MPSoC and comes with an HPC FMC site which complies with Vita 57.1;

The second board is an IO board that carries all user interfaces.

The whole system with an IO board requires two neighboring contiguous 3U peripheral slots.

Additionally, depending on the device fitted (CG, EG or EV) to the PXIe800Z, different set of applications cane be better suited for the board as shown below. Different form factors of this design, based on PCIe and PCIe104, are also available which can be preferable for an application.
