PXIe840z, a Zynq Ultrascale+ based PXIe board.

PXIe840 complements Sundance DSP’s PXI800Z card, which was designed based on the Zynq Ultrascale+. Functionally the two boards are identical, except that the PXIe840 offers QSFP+ rather than a single SFP+. QSFP+ connector is available through the front panel.

A standard FMC+ module can be attached to PXIe840z and is accessible through the front panel. Additionally, the PS interfaces for the Zynq (USB3, SATA, Display port, etc.) can be accessed by attaching an IO card on the back of the module to make the PS interfaces available through the front panel also. This addition of a removable I/O card allows for more flexibility during development or integration. For example, it might be desirable to access PS interfaces for development phase, but not for production, the capability to control the access to PS interfaces for production boards will save cost and a PXIe slot.

All the PS interfaces are mounted on an IO-card, attached to the back of the PXIe840 module with a special-designed front panel.

PXIe840 plus an attached FMC+ will only take one slot in a PXIe chassis, and if the IO card is also attached, it will occupy two slots.
