FMC-CLV is an HPC FMC with 3 Full width 80 bit Camera link interfaces. Safe Power PoCL is available on all connectors. The board includes an AMD Artix-7 FPGA which will provide 3 Camera link interfaces to the user and will transport Camera link data (processed or unprocessed) to a compatible FMC HPC carrier via 4 serial transceivers, using a proprietary custom protocol.

One interface will use Mini CameraLink connectors, and the other two interfaces use 5034803200 FPC Molex connector with custom Sundance pin out. This pin out is compatible with previous FMC-CL card and the FMC-CL-AUX.

FMC-CLV is compatible with Vita 57.1.

AMD XC7A15T-1FGG484 is at the heart of this module. It interfaces with the Camera link cameras and utilizing Sundance DSP firmware to capture the images and transfer to an FMC carrier via serial transceivers. Or it can just transfer the captured data from Camera link  to an FMC carrier without any sorting or processing of the pixels. The module is compatible with the latest Cameralink V2.1 standard and has the following  improvements and features:

  • Detailed jackscrew dimensions: Improves mechanical compatibility across devices.
  • Bit positions for all tap formats: Fully documented for easier implementation and debugging.
  • FPGA emulation support: Enables products to emulate Channel Link chips, expanding hardware flexibility.
  • Updated serial port API: Fixes long-standing limitations in serial communication.
  • Mandatory PlugFest testing: All v2.1 products must pass interoperability testing to ensure compliance.

Since the module transfers data to the FMC carrier via serial links, it remains agnostic to the I/O voltages supported by the carrier-side device. This makes it well-suited for use with Versal devices, which typically operate at lower I/O voltages.

A BSP supporting direct pass through of camera data to an FMC-HPC carrier will be provided from the onboard AMD Artix-7 FPGA. A BSP version including full Camera Link frame grabbing capability on the AMD Artix-7 FPGA can also be purchased as an ordering option.

XXX – Can be “AUX” for the FMC-CL-AUX to be included, leave blank if FMC-CL-AUX is not required

Z – Can be “G” for frame grabber firmware to be loaded onto the onboard AMD Artix 7 FPGA before shipment, leave blank if direct passthrough of cameralink
